CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It’s a way for people to buy food directly from farmers.

This model came out of a need to move away from a global food system and give communities better access to local food, while also building relationships between growers and customers.

When you join a CSA, you pay upfront for a share of a farm’s harvest. In return, you get a regular box, filled with fresh,  in-season food throughout the growing season. It’s a steady way to get good food, support local farms, and often spend less than you would at a  store.

Everything we offer comes from Montana businesses and small local producers, your neighbors. We work with about 45 different vendors across the state, most of them based right here in the Gallatin Valley. That means your food is grown and made close to home, by people  you could run into at the market. 

Buying this way helps farmers earn a fair living, cuts down on  environmental impact, and keeps money circulating in the local economy.  It’s fresh, seasonal food with a real connection to the people who  produced it. 

One of our biggest goals is making local food more accessible and convenient for rural communities. We know Bozeman isn’t always the easiest drive for those farther out, and we believe everyone deserves access to fresh, locally grown food. That’s why we’re excited to offer a biweekly pickup in Manhattan!

Each grocery box pulls from our network of producers, so you get a good mix of what’s available and in season. That can include vegetables, meat, dairy, eggs, flowers, and pantry items, along with a few extras 

here and there. 

Most of our producers have organic and regenerative practices, which means everything in your box will be nutrient dense, clean, and healthy. 

Pickup will be every other Monday, at 5pm-6pm, at Gluten Free Prairie Bakery, 116 E Main St. in Manhattan, MT.
